Hydrological Reserve of the River Pyvesa

This reserve has an area of 543 hectares. It was founded in1992 in order to preserve the shallow often-flooded plains of the valley in the middle of the sharply meandering River Pyvesa. Unfortunately, the natural Pyvesa valley’s plant and animal communities are heavily affected by human activities and only in few places, there are some rich natural communities.
