Botanical Reserve of Lepšynė
This reserve has an area of 206 hectares. It was founded in1992 in order to preserve broadleaf forest vegetation of the plains of the Rivers Mūša and Nemunėlis. This wood is a typical Northern Lithuania deciduous forest s relic; pristine natural complex is little changed. Here you can discover many rare animals and plants. These rare species of plants such as Cypripedium Calceolus, Poa remota, Baltic and Chub orchid, Arctium nemorosum and Bromus Benekenii have almost disappeared from the Lithuanian forests.
