Cross to a priest Pranciškus Masilionis in the village of Valakėliai
This wooden Cross is in Vakėliai village, by the road leading to Šiauliai. A sculptor Arūnas Grušas carved it. The monument was built in memory of a Jesuit priest, a poet Pranciškus Masilionis (1902–1980), who, in 1969, together with other like-minded fellows initiated the Catholic secret resistance to the Soviet authorities – Eucharistic Movement. The Cross is close to the priest native village Pažosai. It was built in 1992 in order to commemorate his 90th birth anniversary.
