Monument to the participants of the 1863 Revolt in the village of Balsiai
In 1957, a sculptor Antanas Dimžlys created this sculptural group depicting Lithuanian peasants during an uprising of 1863. Nowadays the monument is located in Balsiai watermill yard, Balsiai village, the eldership of Pasvalys neighborhood. From 1957 to1991, it stood on the Rebel Hill in Šiauliai. The monumento was destroyed by metal thieves and it was donated to the Grūtas Park. In 2000, a businessman and Balsiai watermill owner Rimas Želvys bought the sculpture and brought it to Pasvalys.
