Švobiškis old burial ground

This burial ground is in the Joniškėlis neighbourhoods’ eldership, Pasvalys district. It is located 1 km to the west from the village Švobiškis, on a small hill at the confluence of the River Mūša and the Stream Upys. Its south side is based on the approximately 3 m in height Mūša’s left abrupt riverside and in the west there is an edge of the same height with the left bank of the Stream Upys. In the north and east, the ancient burial area is bordered with cultivated fields. The area’s surface area is 0.12 ha. It dates back to the nineteenth- sixteenth centuries.
