Vytartai ancient settlement

This ancient settlement is in the Pasvalys neighbourhoods’ eldership, Pasvalys district. It is located in the village of Vytartai, to the south from the way leading to the road Pasvalys–Vaškai, to the north west from the confluence of the River Mūša and a nameless Stream, on the left bank of the River Mūša. In 1991, the archaeologists of the Scientific Center of Cultural Heritage investigated this territory and discovered a cultural layer. In 1992, there was drawn and approved a plan of this area (0.17 ha). Vytartai ancient settlement has to be dated to the first millennium after Christ because no precise data were found.
