Roofed Pole to the 450th anniversary of Krikliniai village
This Pole was built in 2005. Its author is a folk artist Pranas Janulevičius from Pumpėnai. This roadside pole depicts a carved wild duck and a sheaf of flax.
Among the local people, there are two common interpretations of the origin of Krikliniai name. One says that beside the Moliūnai mound and Krikliniai there once were lakes, where wild ducks ("kryklės" in Lithuanian) used to breed. The others say that the name developed from Mr. Krikas‘s fields of flax.
