Noreliai burial ground

This burial ground is in the Vaškai eldership, Pasvalys district. It is located in a deserted homestead, wooded with trees and bushes, in Noreliai village. The burial ground is 2,35 km to the northwest from Pasvalys–Vaškai and Tetirvinai–Kiemėnai crossroads and 0.65 km to the south-southwest from Pasvalys–Vaškai and Skrebotiškis–Nečionis crossroads. Previously Noreliai village was called Užkapė (from the Lithuanian word „kapai“ – graves) because there were even four cemeteries. Noreliai burial ground is dating back to the VIII–IX centuries. Artifacts, which were found during archaeological researches, were transferred to the Pasvalys Museum.
