Cross to Freedom Fighters in Pasvalys
This Cross to Lithuanian Freedom Fighters was built in Pasvalys center, in front of Vytautas Didysis Square, where in the postwar years Russian collaborates laid down the bodies of killed partisans. A woman sculpture is built next to the Cross as a symbol of grateful Mother Country meanwhile a sculpture of Angel blowing the trumpet symbolizes the victory. The unveiling ceremony took place on the 17th February 2007. This oak monument was created by sculptors Arūnas Grušas and Kestutis Krasauskas and it was consecrated by the parish priest Dean Algis Neverauskas from Pasvalys.
