Lavėnai (Niurkoniai) old burial ground

This burial ground is located in the Pumpėnai eldership, Pasvalys district. It is on a hill of 3–4 meters height, on the bank of Svirnupys which is the right tributary of the River Lėvuo. There were once sand and gravel pits: there are a few hollows in the area. The southern part of the burial ground is overgrown with pine trees. In the middle of the territory there are remains of a stone basement. The territory and its protection zone occupy 0.40 ha. This burial ground was also called Kapotas.
