Memorial plaque to the writer Marius Katiliškis in Pasvalys

This plaque is nailed on the wall of the Pasvalys public library building on Vytautas Didysis Square and Vilnius Street corner. It is dedicated to a prominent writer, Head of Pasvalys Library (from 1941 to 1944) Marius Katiliškis – Albinas Vaitkus and the years when he used to live in Pasvalys. The unveiling ceremony was held on the 12th September 1997 when the Pasvalys Library was commemorating its 60th anniversary. A nephew of Marius Katiškis, a journalist Vytautas Vaitkus, unveiled this memorial plaque, which was consecrated by Pasvalys Dean Monsignor Jonas Balčiūnas.
