Cross to Burkai family in the village of Noriai

The stone cross stands at the site of the former Burkai farm. The famous country songwriter and singer Jonas Mykolas Burkus was born on this farm in 1939. Over 70 of his songs were collected by the Manuscript Department of Vytautas Magnus University. He died in 1919.
