Pillar-type chapel in the village of Katkūnai
Its author is Mr. Juozas Srėbalius. This pillar-type chapel was unveiled on the 12th October 2013. It is a kind of a unique landmark of a small village Katkūnai in the eldership of Joniškėlis. The most important chapel-pole piece is the Pensive Christ who always has been with Lithuanian people in their joys and troubles. You can read the name of Katkūnai village which was first mentioned in 1556. The roadside pillar-type chapel, a new symbol of a small village, was consecrated by the parish priest R. Banys.
