The homestead of the priest and poet Mykolas Šeižys-Dagilėlis is by the river Mūša in the village of Šiukštoniai, Joniškėlis ekdership, Pasvalys district.
Mykolas Šeižys-Dagilėlis was born in 1874 and went to Švobiškis primary school. In 1898 he graduated Kaunas Priest Seminary. 1914–1920 he was a parson in Grūžiai village nearby his homeland. In 1933 he moved to Pakruojis where he stayed until his death in 1950.
As a writer he was known by his pen name Mikalojus Dagilėlis. In 1903 he published his poetry book "Songs and sagas" („Dainos ir sakmės“) and in 1909 – "Sing Songs" („Dainos dainelės“).
