Monument to a composer Alfonsas Mikulskis in the village of Pušalotas

This monument in a memory of a composer Alfonsas Mikulskis was unveiled in 1996, in Pušalotas. A Bishop Juozas Preikšas consecrated it. A nostalgic longing for his native country was the basis of life of this Lithuanian composer. While working in a factory in the USA, he maintained a folk group "Čiurlionis" and fought for Lithuania: with their performances the members of the folk group did not allow to forget the name of Lithuania in foreign countries.
