Monument to a writer Gabrielė Petkevičaitė-Bitė in Joniškėlis

Ms Gabrielė Petkevičaitė-Bitė (1864–1901) was a publicist and educator who lived in Joniškėlis for 40 years. The monument is dedicated to her memory and represents a sculptural bust made of Ukrainian granite (its sculptor is Antanas Dimžlys from Joniškėlis). The monument stands in the Joniškėlis town center, at the crossroads of G. Petkevičaitė-Bitė and Vytautas Streets. It was unveiled on the 1st September 1994.
